Company History
Geotechnical Engineering was formed in 1972 after a management buy-out of Foundation Engineering (a subsidiary of Costain) which at the time, had been operating in Australia since 1960. In 1995, Geotechnical Engineering acquired the drilling unit of the Rural Water Commission of Victoria, which enabled further expansion of services. Subsequently, in 1999, Dugina Shotcrete was acquired to provide a specialist shotcreting capability, enabling the eventual capacity to offer a complete range of civil construction disciplines.
The ownership and management of Geotech has not changed significantly since the acquisition of Foundation Engineering. Thus, Geotech has the capabilities and experience in specialist construction dating back to 1960.
