Awareness Tour—Single Bore Multistrand Anchor & Removable Anchor Systems
 
Since the conclusion of Geotech’s involvement in the remediation
anchoring works at the Burnley Tunnel, Geotech have engaged Dr Devon Mothersille (one of the independent international experts used during these remediation works by the client and co-designer of the SBMA and Removable Anchor System) as the company’s international ground anchor expert.
 
Through the relationship with Devon, Geotech acquired licensing for Single Bore Multiple Anchor and Removable Anchor technologies from Europe.
 
During the start of February, Geotech is travelling throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania visiting structural and geotechnical engineering organisations, asset owners, suppliers and construction contractors presenting the uses and advantages of these systems. Geotech have sponsored Devon visit to Australia to assist in this awareness promotional tour throughout Australia.
 
Geotech has also sponsored Devon’s upcoming presentation at the AGS (Victoria Chapter) meeting on Wednesday 9th February. Devon will be presenting on the importance of maintenance and inspections of ground anchors and some recent developments in ground anchor technology.
