Damien Browne Named Apprentice of the Year by Essendon Lions Club

Lions Club of Essendon’s Apprentice of the Year 2011—Damien Browne

On Australia Day, Geotech’s Damien Browne was awarded Apprentice of the Year by the Essendon Lions Club.
 
Another apprentice, Damien Horsbough from John Beever was also nominated for this award and made the shortlist of 6 which is of significant merit.
 
The Apprentice of the Year Award was instigated some years ago to recognise the necessity of apprenticeships and training in Industry.
 
This year Damien was up against 20 applicants from various trades including boilermakers, motor mechanics, carpenters, horticulturalists, hairdressers, wood and metal machinists, electricians and plumbers.
 
Damien has just completed his 5 year apprenticeship and says in regards to being in the construction business, “Every day is a new experience”.
 
Congratulations to Damien for all his hard work and dedication to achieve this award.
