Adam McMahon
Adam McMahonSenior Operations Manager

Adam joined the company in 1998, and has over 25 years’ industry experience across all areas of construction. He has spent the last eight years as Geotech’s Senior Operations Manager, responsible for the management of piling, anchoring, steel and shotcrete crews, which contain up to 100 individuals. Having been promoted through the ranks from crew to supervisor, and then to his current role, Adam has played an integral role in delivering major infrastructure, basement and earthwork projects across Victoria and Australia.

As Geotech’s highly-proficient operations manager, Adam had been involved in major works such as the re-development of the Royal Children’s Hospital and the construction of the new Camberwell Village apartments.

Chris Bluff
Chris BluffDesign and Estimating Manager

Chris brings to this role more than 20 years’ engineering experience in Australia’s construction industry, in addition to 13 years as Geotech’s design and estimating manager.

With extensive experience in the detailed design, inspection, construction and testing of deep foundations, retention systems, ground anchors and ancillary structural components throughout Australia, he has played a significant role in numerous award-winning and large-scale projects such as the Australia 108 tower and the Royal Adelaide Hospital developments. Chris’s innovative mindset allows him to formulate the best possible solutions for all projects.

Mark Eaton
Mark EatonChief Operations Manager

Since joining the company in 1995, Mark has held key operational roles across all of major projects, and brings with him an unparalleled depth of experience. Throughout his career, Mark has delivered a wide range of specialised civil, building and infrastructure projects across Australia. His relentless drive and attention to detail is instrumental to the success of our projects. Throughout his career he has developed an extensive network of clients, subcontractors and suppliers across a diverse range of market sectors.

Mark is a strong leader who focuses on innovation and diversity of services, actively championing these through his involvement in a range of industry bodies. In addition to his extensive experience, Mark’s passionate and highly-resourceful nature has made him a catalyst of Geotech’s success. Mark is a senior member of the executive team and integral to not only the operational performance of the Geotech business, but the wider ACCIONA Geotech Group. 

Dr Matt Sentry
Dr Matt SentryConstruction Manager

Matt brings to this role more than 20 years’ industry experience as a civil engineer specialising in project management, estimating, design, dam upgrades and anchoring projects. Through incorporating these skills into practice, Matt has contributed to major works, including the management of the Candowie Reservoir Upgrade and the Yass Dam Project.

In addition to his existing geotechnical experience, Matt is actively involved with ANCOLD, Anchoring and Carbon Fibre Industries. His extensive array of skills and capabilities ensures his competence in exceeding performance targets.

Matthias Osten
Matthias OstenConstruction Manager

With over 15 years of national and international experience in project management, pile testing, design of retention structures and pile foundations, Matthias has developed a wide-ranging array of specialist skills within his field.

Together with his practical approach and firm knowledge of foundation design, he has the ability to lead a team of project managers and engineers in striving for optimal results across a wide range of projects.

Myles Chapman
Myles ChapmanSenior Design & Testing Engineer

Myles is a highly skilled geotechnical engineer with over 10 years’ experience. His reputation for exceptional design and estimating skills is evident in many works such as Monash University’s Residential Project and Frasers Property developments.

Myles’ role involves ground anchor responsibilities, soil nail installations, and the testing of civil construction works compromising basement retention systems. He is particularly focused on foundation pile design, including deep CFA. As a chartered professional engineer possessing a range of vocational qualifications, Myles provides great value to the company.

Nic Morgan
Nic MorganEngineering Manager

With more than 25 years’ industry experience, Nic’s passion for all geotechnical-related disciplines has involved him in a broad range of civil, mining, infrastructure and building projects throughout Australia. As one of the Group’s most senior managers, Nic has a vast network of clients and industry peers through which the business develops new opportunities and partners. In addition to his experience within the company, Nic is a longstanding Director of the Piling and Foundation Specialists Federation. He has also held positions on the MBAV Specialist Contractors Committee, the working committee for the 2014 WorkSafe Piling Industry Standard, and the LXRA Piling Safety Committee.

Nic’s enthusiasm for the industry is exemplified by his ongoing series of guest lectures for engineering undergraduates at the University of Melbourne, as well as his presentations of technical papers for the Concrete Institute of Australia.

Nick Karapetsas
Nick KarapetsasGeneral Manager

Nick was appointed as General Manager of Geotech in early 2018. In this role he oversees both business development and project delivery to ensure clients receive the highest levels of service and quality throughout the construction lifecycle of their projects.

Nick is a highly qualified senior manager with extensive industry experience, combining a proven track record of successful projects with a deep understanding of Australia’s construction market. He has previously held senior state and operations management roles with Watpac Civil and Mining, BMD Constructions and Fulton Hogan. He is also a previous Board Member of the Civil Contractors Federation in both Victoria and South Australia.

Ryan Nugent
Ryan NugentPiling Supervisor

With over 12 years’ experience in the construction industry, Ryan has developed the knowledge required to undertake complex piling projects. His specialist skills include site management, plant operations and risk management. He has also been actively involved in CFA, Kelly Bar and Sheet Piling works.

Ryan’s practical contribution to the level crossing removal works (Caulfield to Dandenong), Melbourne quarter development, and the Greater North Grade Separation exemplify his competence at liaising with others through efficient supervision. Before joining Geotech, Ryan was involved in major works such as the Brisbane Airport link tunnel and the Gateway Bridge project.

Sean Holt
Sean HoltSenior Design Engineer

Sean brings to this role more than 20 years’ industry experience as a specialist piling contractor, having worked on a wide range of projects on a national scale. During his career, Sean has excelled in the design and construction of piled foundations, piled retaining structures, diaphragm walls, basement construction (piles, capping beam, ground anchors, bulk excavation, shotcrete walls and waterproofing) and ground improvement, covering a wide variety of pile types and applications.

Additionally, Sean has demonstrated his efficient project management and design skills during the major works of both Australia 108 and the Cantala Apartments.
