Grouting (permeation or pressure grouting) is a technique used to fill pores in granular soils. or voids within soil or rock, with a flowable cementitious grout. Cement based grout (Portland or microfine) is injected under pressure at specific locations through single or multiple port pipes. The grouted mass has an increased strength, stiffness, and reduced permeability. This technique of ground improvement can be used both on and offshore.
